Faceless

"No, I'm death. Plain and simple."  Dr. Philip K. Decker - Nightbreed

My latest obsession is Dr. Decker who I think is one of the creepiest psychopaths to appear on film. Working on assembling an accurate Decker costume for this year.

Hilda

This is our latest female corspe head. Hilda would have been 106 today. The years have been, well, not entirely kind to her.

The Miner loose in Chi-town

Here's some Days of the Dead convention pics of me sporting my Harry Warden miner costume.

Todd Farmer, writer/actor from My Bloody Valentine 3D, Drive Angry and Jason X

                                                               Girls love the miner...

                                                                     So do the kids!

Seer

Here is the latest scarecrow mask the cornfield has brought forth. I went for a simple mouthless look and gave him some scorched areas stained with his green lifeblood. The mask is actually a little darker than the pictures reflect.  He'll be added to our website soon.

Mini Corpse Heads

Started making minis. They are about 1/3 the size of our regular corpse heads.

Buzzkill

Here's a strange corpse head I finished just days before Mask-fest. I definitely want to make more of these bizarre looking heads.

I'm Just A Big Kid

One aspect I love about horror conventions is just cutting loose and having fun. These pics pretty much sum it up.
New friends

Horrorhound/Mask-fest 2012

Horrorhound/Mask-fest weekend went by way too fast. This was our first year as vendors and it was amazing! We met many nice people and made new friends. Thank you to all who stopped by our table!  A big thanks goes out to Eric Austin, the HMA and all the staff for putting on Mask-fest. Can't wait for next year. The next blog entry will feature more pics from the show. Here are just a few.

 Our table

It was a bit off a challenge manning the booth while donning several costumes, but Ames did a wonderful job filling in. Here are my characters.

 Harry Warden and Ames

Bubba and JD Feigelson

We met Linda Hamilton. Super nice lady. She's got one of my Children of the Corn crosses!

Actor/stuntman Peter Kent who is Arnold Schwarzenegger's stunt double. Very cool guy. He shared some neat experiences from Re-Animator and T2.

Wrapping up the final prep for the show. Super excited to see old friends and new faces.  If you are attending the convention then stop by the Behind The Rows Studio table and say hi to Ames and me!

"Jed"

My time has been divvied up all over lately resulting in little studio time. But here is "Jed", a new corpse head chandelier I recently finished. I'll be adding him to the BTRS site soon.

Not Your Ordinary Book Stand

Made this to display a book of the dead or other reading material. I felt that a skull made this particular stand come together.

Baldy

Here's a new skull I finished up.  This guy has a chipped tooth and a nasty underbite. Left lots of exposed skull showing on his scalp.

Need me some Walking Dead

Over the past few weeks, Ames and I watched all The Walking Dead episodes again from the very beginning. We can say it was as just as enjoyable watching it a second time...REALLY excited for the new episodes to get here.

New Venture

I've finally been able to start my own horror workshop called Behind The Rows Studio. I'll be creating a variety of horror and Halloween related items, mostly props, decor and lighting, all which are hand made by me.  This has been in the planning stages for sometime and I'm very excited to see it come together.  I'm hoping to carve out a little niche among the sea of amazingly talented artists out there. If you get a chance, please check out my site at www.behindtherowsstudio.com
